About Graeme & Kinect Fitness & Recovery

At Kinect Fitness & Recovery, it’s not just what you do — it’s how you do it. Founder Graeme Buenaflor brings over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, with a deep belief that the way we move directly impacts our health and our ability to reach fitness goals.

Graeme emphasizes the fundamentals of quality movement. Limited joint mobility, poor stability, muscle imbalances, and inefficient coordination all reduce performance and increase injury risk. Even on fixed machines, the movement behind every exercise varies based on individual stability, coordination, and strengths or weaknesses. His approach is designed to optimize movement, build balanced development, reduce injury risk, and help each client reach their unique goals.

Graeme’s passion for movement stems from his athletic background in football, track & field, and, more recently, his love of rock climbing. The demands of climbing — stability, mobility, strength, power, endurance, and precision — align perfectly with the principles of strength training. Today, climbing is a core part of his own training. As Graeme says: “I climb to get stronger, and I get stronger by climbing.”

When he’s not working with clients, you’ll likely find Graeme bouldering in a national park, training at SportRock, or coaching his two kids. His commitment extends beyond the gym: he’s dedicated to helping people move better, stay resilient, and perform at their best — whether that’s for daily life, sport, or personal passion.
